The Regional School for Political Development is intended for young people from Croatia, North Macedonia, and Serbia who are interested in promoting active citizenship and a green agenda. This project was conceived by the Academy for Political Development, Foundation BFPE for Responsible Society, and Center for Research and Policy Making to establish an educational program to promote active citizenship, political participation, and European values in the context of sustainable development and climate action. Through this project, young people are developing and advocating green public policies, which will be presented to the public during this online event.
This webinar will explore the crucial role of active citizenship in shaping inclusive, democratic societies. Participants will learn about the importance of civic responsibility, the promotion of democratic values, and the essential participation of citizens in decision-making processes. Particular emphasis will be placed on how active citizenship can drive sustainable development, focusing on green policies and environmentally responsible governance. By encouraging informed and proactive participation, active citizens have the power to influence critical areas like climate change, environmental protection, and social justice, ultimately contributing to a more just and sustainable world.
